VIRIDYN DX
Corrosion Resistant, Hard (7H-9H), Hydrophobic
VIRIDYN DX creates a hard (7H - 9H), transparent, low-surface energy shell. Formulated for hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance, while offering low-grade oil repellence. VIRIDYN DX is Fluorocarbons-free and PFAS-free.
Key Features & Benefits
Hydrophobic: Repels water (contact angle > 100 degrees).
Low-Grade Oil Repellence: Can be used to achieve oleophobicity grades 1 to 2.
Easy Application & Reapplication: Fast-curing, one-step system for consistent performance in the field.
High Durability: Ensures surface protection against harsh tactile environments.
RF-Transparency: VIRIDYN DX coatings allow radio frequency signals to pass through with minimal interference.
Chemical & Solvent Resistant: Impermeable to gas and corrosive pollutants. Protects the substrate. Does not decrease porosity of membranes.
Fluorocarbons & PFAS-Free
Major Applications
Laboratory & Medical Devices: Used for coating plastic laboratory devices and microfluidic devices.
Membranes & Filtration: Maintains air permeability, Rayl values, and acoustic penetrance in fabrics, mesh, filters, and membranes.
Precision Components: Suitable for MR heads and other sensitive electronic parts.
