VIRIDYN DT20
MARINE-GRADE CERAMIC COATING
For use by trained technicians & professionals only
Proudly engineered and manufactured in the United States
VIRIDYN DT20 Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating is a premium high polymer concentrate ceramic nano coating for boats, yachts and other marine applications.
VIRIDYN DT20 is a one-step coating that creates a durable, optically transparent, hydrophobic film with a signature high-gloss ‘wet’ look.
VIRIDYN DT20 is compatible with painted and treated surfaces including wood, upholstery, plastic, metal, glass, gelcoat, fiberglass, chrome and ceramic.
VIRIDYN DT20 Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating forms a tough, long-lasting, glass-like layer of protection against demanding maritime environments:
ASTM D3363-05 is the international standard test of coating hardness.
VIRIDYN DT20 coatings are 9H hardness, offering excellent abrasion and scratch resistance.
VIRIDYN DT20 Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating offers excellent protection against chemicals, corrosion, saltwater and UV-light.
Pictured here are two copper strips. One uncoated. The other coated with VIRIDYN DT20 Marine-Grade Ceramic Coating and allowed to cure.
Both strips were fully submerged in 5% NaCL-H2O (saltwater) solution at 65°C [149°F] for 72 hours.
The average NaCL concentration of seawater is ~3.5%. The average temperature of seawater ranges between 17 °C to 20 °C (63 °F to 68 °F).
RESULT: The VIRIDYN DT20 coated copper strip prevents corrosion under significantly more extreme conditions than typical marine exposures. Compare this with the uncoated control copper strip that is completely corroded.
VIRIDYN DT20 Marine-Grade Ceramic Coatings are easy to apply, cure quickly, long-lasting, and easy to maintain.
VIRIDYN DT20 is typically applied using a standard wipe-on technique with a standard microfiber suede cloth.
VIRIDYN DT20 dries and cures rapidly under normal ambient conditions.
When well-cured, VIRIDYN DT20 exhibits contact angles to water greater than 95° and roll-off angles of less than 20° can be achieved.
When properly applied and cured, VIRIDYN DT20 can provide protection for many years.
Maintenance of the VIRIDYN DT20 coated surface is minimal and easy. A restoration kit is available for touching-up surfaces and adding extra protection, when required.
