VIRIDYN NIV-6-ET

Icephobic, UV-light Resistant, Corrosion Resistant, Hard (7H-9H), Hydrophobic

VIRIDYN NIV-6-ET: a hard, hydrophobic, corrosion resistant icephobic nano-coating. Optically transparent. UV light resistant. Excellent for automotive, lighting, LED, LiDAR, radar, antennas, industrial applications. PFAS-free.

VIRIDYN NIV-6-ET creates a hard (7H - 9H), hydrophobic & icephobic shell. Formulated for optical transparency and corrosion resistance, while offering low-grade oil repellence. VIRIDYN NIV-6-ET is Fluorocarbons-free and PFAS-free.

Key Features & Benefits

Hydrophobic: Repels water (contact angle > 100 degrees).

Icephobic: Encourages ice & snow release.

Low-Grade Oil Repellence: Can be used to achieve oleophobicity grades 0-1, enhancing anti-fouling properties.

Easy Application & Reapplication: Fast-curing, one-step system.

High Durability: Ensures surface protection against harsh tactile environments.

Chemical & Solvent Resistant: Impermeable to gas and corrosive pollutants. Protects the substrate. Does not decrease porosity of membranes.

Fluorocarbons & PFAS-Free

Major Applications

Automotive LED Lighting: Reduces visibility obstruction by ice and snow. Protects plastic housing substrates from chemical exposure, corrosion, UV light.

LiDAR & Radar: Prevents obstruction of surface. Enhances easy removal of ice and snow when combined with heat.

SATCOM & Telecom: Encourages release of ice and snow from antenna surfaces, reducing signal attenuation in cold climates / seasons.
